TRAVELING TO PLAYA VENAO

Step One

For an immersion into Panama City’s culture on the way to Playa Venao, stop in Casco Viejo. Known as the “old town,” Casco Viejo is filled with historic architecture, renowned restaurants, museums, art galleries, and nightlife – all along cobblestone streets. The team at Vervana can recommend an itinerary and accommodations.

Step Two

From Panama City, take a short, 45 minute FlyTrip scenic charter flight to Pedasi. From the small town of Pedasi, enjoy a scenic drive 35 minutes to Vervana, with rolling hills, farmland vistas, and ocean views.

    • The developer and sponsor of Vervana is Panama-based Chagres Capital. Chagres is a seasoned real estate investment firm that manages a multi-million dollar hospitality portfolio with over 6 hotels, 350 rooms, across multiple brands. UDG advises Chagres on the development and construction of the resort. UDG is a leading developer of residential and commercial properties that has completed over $920 million in real estate projects throughout Panama.
    • Hamak Hotels conceptualized the resort and will manage operations. Hamak, a Latin American company, has pushed the boundaries of traditional hotel luxury by blending nature and local culture to create unique lodging experiences. With their innovative approach, Hamak has become a leader in providing luxury accommodations with a distinctively local flavor. Hamak is set to manage 20+ properties throughout Mexico and Colombia by the end of 2024.
    • Alberto Calleja founded TAC architects in 1999 and has grown to an award-winning design firm with offices in Panama City, Caracas and Mexico City. He has designed over 39 projects in Latin America, and is celebrated for his innovative, ultra-contemporary design aesthetic marked by dramatic rooflines, indoor/outdoor spaces, and artisanal use of wood, steel and glass.
    • Construction is set to begin in Q4 2024 with a target completion for phase 1 in 2027.
